OFFICES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o
CGSU Chair develops, maintains and
manages the work of the officers and coordinates all of the activities within
CGSU. She leads the meetings and gives
guidance officers and troop leaders.
o
CGSU Co-chair Assists the co-chair with
her duties. Can be the next chairman.
o
Secretary the official minute taker
for CGSU.
o
Treasurer The holder of the funds
and recorder of financial statements of CGSU.
o
Registrar assure registration of
troops in the CGSU by distributing troop registration packets, providing
training for Leaders, proofing and returning registrations to the GS Council.
o
Delegate attends council meetings
to represent our Service Unit. They vote and report back to CGSU.
o
School Organizers responsible for recruiting
and placing qualified adults and girls in GS troops. She will advertise GS at
back to school nights, in the school newsletter and host a registration night
at the school in the fall. She helps the
registrar complete registration paperwork. Throughout the year, she will mentor
the leaders from her school.
o
Cookie Captain responsible for
implementing the Cookie Sale Program, completing paperwork, and distributing
the prizes to the troops.
o
Fall Product Sale Chairman
responsible
for implementing the Fall Product Sale, completing the paperwork, and
distributing prizes to the troops
o
Event Organizer plans/hosts the event,
informs the troops of the details, and completes a summary/banking after the
event. She may also request help from
other troops for various jobs during the event.
o
Camp Promoter - Keep
abreast of camping
opportunities.
Attend one or two Meetings downtown about summer camp. Report back to CGSU.
o
Training Coordinator promotes and encourages leaders
to go to trainings. Sets up trainings
for CGSU.
o
Publicity act as a liaison between
the council PR director, local media, organizations, and troops. We currently dont have this position but
would like to at some point.

Bronze/Silver/Gold Awards mentors those
troops with questions about these awards.
